Job DescriptionPosition Description:
We are seeking a professional with approximately 8
years of experience and a range of knowledge and practice with remediation, environmental engineering design, construction and OM&M that can be integrated across our diverse portfolio of clients and projects.
Preferred candidates will have experience working on complex remedial projects - from inception with proposal preparation to remedial evaluation, engineering design, management, and execution of field work, reporting and client communications.
Preferred candidates will perform well in a leading or supporting capacity with other professionals and possess the willingness and disposition to mentor engineering staff.
The selected candidate will report to the principal engineering manager and may be assigned junior or mid-level staff with time.
Experience and Requirements:
o Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Chemical, Civil or Mechanical Engineering or related disciplineo Professional engineering (PE) license (VA, MD, DE, NJ and/or PA) or ability to obtain within 6 months of hireo Approximately 8
years of related experienceo Experience and knowledge of groundwater, soil, and soil vapor characterization and remedial techniques and technologieso Experience with managing/supporting large-scale and complex environmental sites involving hazardous and mixed wastes, free-phase product, etc.
o Experience with cost estimating and bid preparation including technical proposal writingo Experience with implementing pilot tests, engineering principles of design, installation and constructiono Experience with OM&M of remediation systems, treatment processes and optimizationo Experience with environmental compliance and/or permitting (NPDES, Air Quality, SPCC, E&S Controls)o Ability to support project teams with excellent internal as well as excellent external client and regulatory communication skillso Considers health and safety (H&S) a core value in their everyday professional and personal lifeKey Responsibilities and Duties:
o Support project teams with complex remedial evaluation, engineering design, management and execution of field work, reporting, and client communications.
o Must be resourceful with excellent communication and writing skills and possess a high degree of initiative and time management skills.
o Lead and/or support client and bid proposal efforts as well as other life-cycle and order of magnitude costing effortso Assist clients and project teams across various industries with environmental compliance and/or permitting (SPCC, NPDES, E&S Controls, and etc.
)o Review plans, specifications, and technical reports prepared by junior level staffo Mentor and coach junior level staff on complex remediation activitieso Perform other related duties as assigned by the principal engineering managero Role may include Project Manager responsibilities depending on the candidate RemoteAbout the Company:
