We're seeking individuals with an impressive track record of overdelivering on goals and expectations, who are constantly looking for new ways to push the envelope in their area of expertise As a key member of our R+D team, you will work with the development team who create an engaging, exciting atmosphere full of learning opportunities and innovative new discoveries.
As a Chemist, your job will be to enhance our current products and develop new products that leverage the latest market trends and technologies.

Strong communication skills and a history of developing forward thinking, innovative approaches to formulation will help you collaborate with our team.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for providing project updates Order samples needed for projects Validate approved or customer supplied formulas Make batches for additional bulk needed Research, develop, and refine new personal care product formulas Propose new product modifications and innovations based on your research in market and ingredient trends.
Create new processes for evaluating product and ingredient innovations and their potential impact on our business Maintain clear and accurate records of formulations, procedures, observations, results Manage formula qualification, lab scale up, and production scale up Adhere to project timelines and product development schedule Create and maintain formula related documentation Conduct stability testing, inclusive of keeping accurate records Contribute to routine laboratory housekeeping and day-to-day operations of the laboratory Maintain a working knowledge of cosmetic regulations for cosmetics/active ingredient regulations Mentor junior members of the team Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
3
years' experience working in personal care and OTC formula development 2
years leading product development of new, innovative formulas and ingredients Track record of being able to deliver innovative solution to tough formulation problems Impressive interpersonal and communication skills in small and large groups An interest in the role that new technology can play in product development Exceptional organization and attention to detail Ability to work as part of functional and cross-functional teams Self-starter, motivated in an environment that requires creativity and collaboration Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Docs Adaptable to changing tasks, assigned responsibilities, and priorities
